About our Volunteer Charity Knitting and Crocheting Group
We started as a small group of women meeting to knit and/or crochet items for local charities. We have now grown to over 40 members. Not all members have access to a computer, so our online membership list does not reflect all of our members.
In 2005, Nimble Fingers knitted and crocheted over 3,000 donated items to local area charities. In large part thanks to several members from Nimble Fingers at CUMC who have also formed the Nimble Fingers Auxiliary group located at The Orchards on Jones Bridge in Alpharetta, GA.
In 2006 we were able to complete various sets of hats and booties, blankets, sweaters, to the total of approximately 3500 items. We are always looking for additional volunteers to help out.
As of our last meeting, we have donated 8,000 items to various charities!
