What's New?
-
"I'm 26, pregnant and have a lot of baby clothes to knit... lol."
-
"hey where is the next meeting taking place"
-
"Hi, I'm a recent avid counted crossticher. I'm tired of stiching for hours and days (and having a great time I might add) yet feeling oddly isolated. There's so many great ideas and people out there, it would be great to combine the two!"
-
"I just started crocheting. I learned from my mother in law. I would like to learn more stiches, learn how to read patterns. "
-
"is the official name of the new meetup. You can go here to see the details of the meetup and sign up to be a part of the group. NOLA Knit and Stitch Apparently it takes them about 72 hours to send out..."
-
"Great post, Angela. I think that "NOLA Knits" is a fine name. I am not a good person to be an organizer as I already have too many obligations of this kind, but I do not mind hosting the events until someone has another idea."
-
"As most of you already know, our organizer has not had any contact with the group for over 6 months. She is still paying the fees however, so she is still the organizer. The place where we used to meet..."
-
"I found out that there is a knitting group that meets at Bette Bornside Company every Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Last month Ed & Gloria took me to Bette Bornside which is a yarn & knitting..."
-
"Hey Dorie, you can either post on a board or a shout. I usually post on the board if it is a general issue and post a shout if I want a response from a specific person. For instance, Ed & Angela are both amazing knitters so I often post them a shout to get their advice on a project. Hope you can make it to one of the meetings soon. We have a good time & I always learn a lot."
-
"thanks i'm going to try to make it. "
-
"I am willing to help out with some of the stuff you have to do, but quite frankly, my computer skills are not the best & I do not always have internet. You are the Queen of All Knitting anyway! LOL!!! If there is something that you think I can do, let me know. "
-
"I think that contacting the meetup folks is the logical thing to do. They must have had this problem before, and especially if you tell them that poor Lee was living in a FEMA trailer and we just don't know where she is now, they will understand. They can see on the message boards who is active and who is not so I do not think it will be much of a problem for you to takeover. "
-
"As most of you know, Puccino's on Magazine is closed. This month we will meet at Mojo's Coffee House this month, 1500 Magazine St (corner of Race and Magazine), Ph: 525-2244, http://mojoneworl... ...."
-
"I still cannot contact Lee. I have called her cell phone and left messages and left e-mails with no response. All I can do is post another message about the location of the meeting and hope that everyone sees it. I will also post my cell phone number in case anyone needs to call for directions to Mojo's. I will contact the "meetup" people to see what we can do about maybe appointing another organizer. I don't know what else to do about that part of it. Angela"
-
"Thank you for letting me know. "
-
"Hello! I just wanted to make sure that you knew the meeting tomorrow was at Mojo's Coffee House at 1500 Magazine Street...Pucinno's closed."
-
"Hello, Marie. I just wanted to make sure that you knew the meeting tomorrow was at Mojo's Coffee House at 1500 Magazine Street...Pucinno's closed."
-
"I'm new to knitting. My daughter was expecting my first grandchild and I quit smoking and needed something to occupy my hands and mind. A coworker began teaching a knitting class at school and I sat in for a while. I quickly became addicted! "
-
"I learned to Crochet from my mother and was an active Member of the Threads of Love New Orleans chapter until it dispanded after Katrina. I am now learning how to knit and am loving it also."
-
"We need to pick a site for this meeting as soon as possible. I like Mojo's and it is fine by me. If anyone has another idea that is O.K. too. We just need to make a decision soon so we all know the location..."
-
"I just realized that the reference to Knitting Help did not link up. How about this: Knitting Help Also, we talked about hats and decreasing at the top. Check out some of the hats on the website for..."
