Introduction:

"Hi. This is both my first meetup and my first real knitting group. Lately I have been knitting mostly socks and baby sweaters. I am looking forward to meeting everyone, hearing about your projects, and maybe learning some new tricks."

Tell us about your first project. What did you make and how long did it take? Who introduced you to your hobby? Is there a special place you like to knit, crochet or create and do you have a suggestion on a good place for the group to get together?

"My aunt owned a yarn store in Virginia, where I used to live. She taught me to knit several years ago. My first project was a felted hat. That way, all the mistakes I made went away during the felting process. Now my cats use that hat as a bed."
