About Women with Pointy Sticks- handheld needle work-Frisco

We are a group of Ladies who all share a passion for knitting, crocheting, cross stitching, embroidery, tatting and more! Since expanding the scope of this group I've even learned of one handheld type of lace work that I'd never heard of! Our level of expertise ranges from novice to expert ; the result is there's always help a chair or two away!

If you're reading this you have some level of interest in knitting or crocheting. This meetup group is an excellent source of knowledge and resources for knitters and crocheters new and old. The purpose of this group is to gather knitters and crocheters of all levels and increase our skill and knowledge of our favorite artcraft. It's also a great time to socialize with others that share an interest in this hobby.

Here's our general schedule -
*Every Wednesday at noonish
*Second and Fourth Thursday Evenings at 7ish
*Third Saturday of the month at 7ish
*We sometimes add extra evenings/days if it's a long month ; )

Members are encouraged to use the message boards, to email me and eachother as well as call me about the venue or whatever. Our present schedule was only introduced in March, so we are still in the fine tuning stages as far as the calendar goes.

So, please join our group and go to our calendar and RSVP for all the events. I need to know if anyone is coming or thinking of coming so I'll know whether to drive over there or not. Also, if I was thinking of a fun thing to do or bring, I'd like to know how many people to expect. If we have large numbers we will have to sit on the other side of our local coffee shop and our regular spot won't seat all of us that well anymore. So a "NO" RSVP is just as important a a "yes" or a "maybe". RSVPing also keeps your account 'active' in the eyes of Meetups.com, who will delete inactive members faster than I do! lol ; )

Sign up today, your only regret will be that you didn't join earlier!
