Follow crocheters,

Saturday is World Wide Knit /Crochet in Public Day .Started in 2005 by Danielle Landes. It began as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each other’s company. Even now, with crochet/ knitting groups meeting day-by-day in public across the country there's still never a better time to celebrate the social aspect of knitting/crochet. There's something irreplaceable about the experience of sharing your passion for knitting with like-minded folk over a cake or two!

Im very pleased to announce that we will be following the London stitchNbitch group. The following info is straight from their website . We meet at tower bridge at 12.

The Stitch and Bitch London Tashtastic Knit Crawl 2009 will take to the streets of lovely London Town on Saturday the 13th of June.
We’ll stomp our way across four iconic London sights:

Tower Bridge: get down with the ravens and explain to tourists they’re not at London Bridge

Tate Modern: knit it up all arty-like in the gargantuan turbine hall where passers-by will assume you are an art installation

London Eye: get your stitch on in Jubilee Gardens under the gaze of the all-seeing London Eye

Trafalgar Square: a Knit Crawl traditional. Say hi to the Lions and furiously blend in with whatever festival happens to be taking place there, while knitting like you mean it

This year we’re doing it bloke-flavoured, raising money for the Prostate Cancer Charity in a tashtastic manner. We’ll be knitting (and possibly wearing, for those with no shame) moustaches for that manly feel.

CLICK HERE for our S&B London Tashtastic Knit Crawl Moustache Patterns.
We’ll also be offering some knit-flavoured raffle prizes, free gifts, and the chance to wear a knitted moustache in public (optional).

And you may be able to buy this fine face fur for the price of a donation on the day.

I hope you can make it.
Additional notes; The shop does have a loo.
Very important; You can bring coffee and cake ,!!!

If you ahve any questions please feel free to mail me
I've added details directions;

By Tube:
The closest tube is Fulham Broadway on the District Line, which is about 15 minute's walk. Quickest way is to turn left out of the station, down Fulham Road past Chelsea Football grounds, turn right down Holmead Road (by Butcher's Hook pub), left again onto King's Road, then right down Lots Road. Keep walking a few minutes, and you will see the Lots Road Auction House (black and grey 2 story building on the right) and Worlds End Studios on the left. Turn left on Burnaby Street (there is a carpet showroom on the corner of Burnaby and Lots Road), and the first right is Tetcott Road. The entrance is halfway down the street - a black glass door with two windows to the left of it.

By Bus
Bus C3 from Earl's Court/Clapham Junction and Buss 22 both stop on Kings Road just in front of World's End Healthcare (first stop after Tadema Road). You can either:

1) Go straight down Tetcott Road, through the park, then onto Tetcott Road again. Cross Burnaby Street, the entrance is halfway down the street - a black glass door with two windows to the left of it.

2) Walk past the huge green antiques building on Kings Road and turn left at the lights into Lots Road.
