A while back, we discussed attending the Sheep & Wool Days at Middleton Place.

Let's talk about this a little more and decide when and how we want to do this.

Here's details:

Sheep and Wool Days
Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27
Experience the joys of sheep and the crafts made from their wool during Sheep and Wool Days at Middleton Place. See sheep dogs herding and sheep being sheared and bathed. Artisans will be dyeing, spinning, weaving and knitting with wool. Adults may participate in a wine and sheep cheese tasting while children enjoy fun activities making crafts out of wool. Admission: Advance Tickets - $10 (Festival only); $15 at the gate (Festival only); $25 (Festival & Middleton Place Gardens & Stableyards). For tickets, call 843-266-7489.

Middleton holds the festivals in the open field in front of the gardens. That way they keep the festival events separate from the regular plantation stuff.

What is the difference between the festival and the gardens & stableyards? I thought the festival was there?

I will be at the Sheep and Wool Days helping in the dyeing area. Love to see everyone there.

Who attended?

    •  It'll still take me a while to get used to the group.
    •  This was my first ever meeting with a group.Everyone was nice and helpful, and I'm looking forward to the next meeting. I wish we could meet more often, being with fellow knitters and chatting and sharing info is so great. See you in May Fran
    •  I really enjoy our get togethers -- just sitting around yakking and knitting. Welcome new members Fran, Jenny and Julie. I'm glad you found the group and I hope each of you can make it to our future meets. Thinking about the sheep & wool festival at Middleton, I'm planning to go on Sunday afternoon, probably around 2 p.m. If anyone would like to join me, shoot me an email and we can work out details. Here are the dates for our next 3 meets: May 18, June 22 and July 20. These dates are Sundays. Same time & place -- 2 p.m. at the library. As far as I know, we'll be meeting back in the Westvaco Room.
