“ We have a mixed group of experienced and beginner and intermediate knitters. Some other crafts, such as counted cross stitch were represented. We have a good time, and we always learn something. ”

“ I agree about Wal-mart socks...most likely about $3 or $4 a pair. I however, have a #2 1/2 x 40" set of Inox circular needles, currently burning a hole in my knitting box! I just think that a sock might be a little more challenging than a scarf, but NOT as challenging as a sweater. I could stick them in my purse and knit a little at a time in odd minutes here and there. By the way, if you all want to email me directly, my email is: Georgia@MusesNe

“ I HATE swatches! I have never made one. Couldn't I just try to knit it for me & if it doesn't fit, do a Price Charming on it? That is, try to find a foot that fits my sock?
Or do you think I should learn to do swatches?

“ Ed, do you think that this would be a good beginning pattern for me to try socks with? I can print it out if you think so, but quite frankly, I can't start it without help. Maybe I can get some sock yarn and start it at a meeting where I can get some help. I liked the idea that you start from the toe and can try it on as you go. What kind of wool do you recommend me starting with? ”
“ Hey Ed and Gloria! It was so great to see you both this month. Hope you can make it again in March. I have a question: I have a #2 1/2 x 40" Inox circular needles. Can I knit two socks at the same time like you do on them? ”
“ Glad to hear you two are busy and having fun. I can send you the pattern by email or snail-mail if you like. Just let me know.
