Hello all!

At the last meeting, some members discussed trying to find a place to donate their unwanted/unneeded knitting supplies. Janelle did a little research and found a place in Philly that will take anything knitting or crocheting related. Below is a description of the organization, which teaches knitting and crocheting to women recovering from drug and alcohol problems.

Janelle would be willing to collect donations from the group at the next meet-up and take care of getting the items packed and sent to the Interim House along with a card from the group. If you have anything you'd like to donate, please bring your supplies to the next meeting.

Thanks!
Christy (Red-Poppy)

Hi! Sorry I missed the last meeting - one of those sudden headaches descended.

I'm planning a yarn and tool swap for December 10 here at Mifflin Community Library if you'd want to wait and see if you can trade for something you'd prefer. (If that isn't too selfish.)

We're also knitting for the Ships Project which requires 4-ply acrylic, wool blend, or wool worsted weight yarn in masculine colors for hats and slippers. Bright colors in 7" squares (not in neon or more feminine shades) and in masculine patterns, i.e., no granny squares. Our first collection is October 22 and our second is December 20. You're all welcome to knit here or at home; the more the merrier!
