Introduction

I will "graduate" this June from teaching high school 33 years. Teaching is my calling, but traveling is my greatest passion. I have lived and studied in Germany and England. I am a single mother with a college-aged son.

How did you find us?

What skills or knitting techniques do you want to learn?

I am very excited to have asked about sock knitting in my first meeting and to have understood it by January!

What is your favorite thing you've knit?

I especially enjoy knitting gifts for friends, especially when they are not expecting it. I have given afghans, stoles, sweaters, hats, scarves, and many many baby gifts over time.

How long have you been knitting and/or crocheting?

I pretty much taught myself at about age 9 with a friendly neighbor and an aunt answering some of my questions as I progressed. Crocheting for decades, too.

Additional Information

"As I prepare for retirement, I am excited to form new friendships with people of similar interests. We have a diversity of women attending the meetups, and that's great!"
