It's time again for YarnCon! YarnCon is Chicago's own yarn-centric exhibition -- a place to promote, sell, and celebrate the yarny arts. YarnCon runs from 10am until 4pm.

Chicago Knitters Unite will be having a booth at Yarn Con this year. We'll be selling both mystery bags of yarn and row counter bracelets. You can check out the full vendor list at YarnCon.com, there will be lots of vendors selling yarns, needles, needles holders, and lots of cute notions!

We will need help running our table this year - we're looking for volunteers to do 1-hour shifts. You'll be talking about and promoting our meetup group, helping to sell our items, and get to knit when there is downtime! Since this isn't like a regular meetup, when you RSVP yes please let us know when you'll be able to help out at our table.

We will not be collecting the $1 meetup fee, but there is a $3 admission to get into YarnCon.

Pulaski Park is located at 1419 W. Blackhawk St. Parking was pretty sparse, and all of the stress around the fieldhouse are permit parking only. Your best bet is to take the CTA. It's a few block from Ashland, as well as North Avenue, as well as a Blue line stop (but I'm not sure which one - can anyone help?).

I hope to see you there!

It's closer to the Division Stop. If you get off at Division on the Blue Line, go north to Blackhawk and then east until you hit the field house. Easy!

The closest Blue Line stop is Division. You'll go north up Ashland to Blackhawk (that's one long block on the East side of Ashland) and then take a right. Then it's 3 blocks down Blackhawk. (It'll look like you're walking towards the Expressway) It shouldn't be more than a 10 or 15 minute walk... and you can hop the Ashland Bus for the trip up Ashland.
