Introduction
My name is Rachel, and I've been told by my mother that I'm in danger of becoming a cat lady, in spite of the fact that I don't actually own any cats. Also, I'm in my 20s. This is my effort to get out of my house and still do something I enjoy.
Why did you first get interested in knitting?
My cousin got one of those "knitting" kits with the pegs and hoops and picks, and I had fun doing it, but decided that making tubes was pretty limiting and thought learning how to knit with needles would be more fun. And it is!
Who taught you to knit?
I learned from Allyson Dykhuizen, who runs The Sweatshop of Love. She did a great job teaching me - it was very relaxed.
How long have you been knitting?
I've been knitting just under a year - I took a class as a birthday present to myself last January.

"As Robin suggested on Ravelry, Wednesday October 14th is also a possibility. However, if it's just the two of us interested in the meetup, I'm probably going to skip it this month and try again in November. :( Come on, folks!..."
